How to mint?

For Trinity Protocol holders, a snapshot will be taken 24 hours before the drop begins. When the allotted time begins, snapshotted holders will be able to connect their crypto wallets to rags.cool and mint your allocated quantity of Bytes (1 Protocol = access to 1 Byte).

For Open Edition products, no allowlist or Protocol ownership is required. Any connected wallet will be able to mint an Open Edition Byte.

What payment methods are accepted?

Currently we accept Ethereum via supported wallets.

What if I forget to redeem the Sealed Byte?

If you forget or decide not to redeem your Sealed Byte within a given drop window, it will be replaced with a Locked Byte. This Byte is perpetually locked as a collectable token of that specific drop. Think unopened HeMan action figure.

You will NOT be able to use a Locked Byte to redeem a garment, so plan accordingly.

What is the redemption period?

The redemption period for DRP1 is 2 weeks long, from December 15th, 9am PST / 12pm EST to December 29th, 9am PST / 12pm EST. When the drop closes, any Sealed Bytes will automatically changed to Locked Byte tokens in your wallet.

You will NOT be able to utilize Locked Bytes to redeem garments, so if you try your hand at the secondary market, please plan accordingly.

When Snapshot?

Protocol holder snapshot will take place on Wednesday, December 14th at 9am PST / 12pm EST

All RAGS products, NFTs, Bytes, will be on the Ethereum chain.

“What are the different versions of the Bytes?”

Sealed Byte: This is the Byte you mint. It’s a ticket to redeem a specific garment, which you can do by redeeming at tapping the Redeem button in the navigation or individual product page associated with the Byte you’ve minted.

Activated Byte: The Activated Byte is just that, the active version of Bytes. Think of it as a rewards point ready to be spent. You’ll spend these by burning them in events to come. You cannot use an Activated Byte to redeem a garment.

Locked Byte: If you have purchased a Sealed Byte, but don’t redeem it within the allotted drop week, it will automatically turn into a Locked Byte. Locked Bytes are collectors items and currently don’t have any function besides being an unopened RAGS NFT.

Genesis Byte: Genesis Bytes were given to early Protocol holders for their support. A snapshot was taken on May 20th allocating Genesis Bytes per Protocol held. These are unsealed bytes and can be used to burn for future utility.

Can I trade my Bytes?

DRP1 is a 2 week-long mint and redeem period, ending on December 29th at 9am PST / 12pm EST. Sealed Bytes will be tradable and redeemable for their corresponding garments during this window of time. Once this period ends the window will close and all unredeemed Bytes will become Locked Bytes, which cannot be used to redeem garments.

Locked Bytes will be tradable on secondary as collectibles, but have no other purpose as of right now.

How do Bytes work?

Within the 2 week drop window, you can mint your Sealed Bytes. Once minted, you’ll choose to either activate your Byte (i.e. redeem), sell it on secondary, or keep it sealed forever as a digital collectible. If you choose to redeem, your Sealed Byte will split into 2 parts; the Activated Byte itself, and the Soulbound garment NFT that’s a representation of the token you own. The Byte will be sent to your wallet immediately, while the Soulbound Garment NFT will be locked on your garment’s chip forever. This will allow holders access to any and all member benefits.

Activated Bytes also act as reward points to spend as you wish in the ecosystem (WIP).

How long till I get my Garment?

6-12 weeks until shipment, each garment is made to order with an ERC-721 NFT attached.

How secure is my Garment?

Your garment’s NFT will be Soulbound to the NFC chip sewn into it. As long as you possess your garment and connect your wallet to claim you own the Soulbound NFT, it’s forever yours. No one can bump into your garment and steal the associated Soulbound token with their phone if it’s already been claimed.

Note: There will be instructions in the box with your order that detail how you can claim your Soulbound token.

What will my Bytes do/utilities will they offer?

Activated Bytes and Genesis Bytes are our NFT version of rewards points; they will be usable in the future for limited drops, IRL events, cross community events, and more. Sealed Bytes can be used to redeem physicals within a given drop window. Locked Bytes have no utility at the moment.

Do you ship internationally?

How do returns work?

All sales are final. Exchanges and returns will not be accepted. Please ensure shipping and billing information is correct before placing order. Once your order is placed we cannot change any details. If you have any questions please contact us at gm@rags.cool.

How long does shipping take?

All of our physical items are preorder only. In order to customize each garment’s chip to you and your wallet our timeframe after redeeming is currently 6-9 weeks until shipment.

What are the charges for shipping?

All shipping charges are included in the price of the Sealed Byte. One payment and you’re done, we take care of the rest.

What do I do if my chip isn’t working?

This must be handled on an individual basis as your wallet is linked to the chip. Contact us at GM@RAGS.COOL
